Fullerton Market
Oct 13th, 14th, and the 15th will be the Corn Festival. It will be the 20th year for us to participate and share the Gospel at this event. Please keep this outreach in prayer. The Fullerton Farmers Market ends on the last Thursday of August.
Columbo continues his discussion with Sam, a Jehovah’s Witnesses
Sam: How are you? I missed you these past few months.
Columbo: I had a few cases, and I was in court a lot. How are you?
Sam: I am good. The elders said you should read Revelation 3:5.
Columbo: It says, “The one who conquers will thus be dressed in white garments, and I will by no means blot out his name from the book of life, but I will acknowledge his name before my Father and before his angels.” (NWT 2013)
Sam: Jesus can blot out the names of those who will not conquer.
Columbo: What does Jesus say in John 6:37?
Sam: Jesus says: “All those whom the Father gives me will come to me, and I will never drive away the one who comes to me;” (NWT 2013) I can walk away.
Columbo: What is the will of the Father in John 6:39?
Sam: The verse says, “This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose none out of all those whom he has given me, but that I should resurrect them on the last day.” (NWT 2013) It is the will of the Father that Jesus will not lose those persons that the Father gives him.
Columbo: Right! What does a shepherd do when his sheep walk away?
Sam: A good shepherd will go get the sheep that walked away and bring it back.
Columbo: Good answer! If you walk away Sam, and Jesus does not get you and bring you back, then your Jesus is not good shepherd, or the Father did not give you to Jesus.
Sam: The Bible does not teach once saved always saved.
Columbo: The Bible does teach that the will of the Father is that Jesus will not lose those who the Father gives Him. If you walk away Sam, Jesus will not lose you, and He will bring you back like a good shepherd. If Jesus does not bring you back, what does 1 John 2:19 say?
Sam: 1 John 2:19 says: "They went out from us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us. But they went out so that it might be shown that not all are of our sort." (NWT 2013)
Columbo: If Jesus did not bring you back, it is because you are not of our sort. Conquering and enduring to the end is not dependent on you Sam. It is dependent on the Father and Son.
Sam: I will do some research and get back to you Columbo.
Columbo: Okay! By the way Sam, one more thing. You should the read the Bible, not the Watchtower.
