Notes on eternal life
The true believer has eternal life now. (John 3:36; 5:24; 6:40; 47; 10:27-29; 1 John 5:9-13; John 11:17-27)
John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
John 6:47 47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
John 10:27-29 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
1 John 5:9-13 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. That You May Know13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
John 11:17-27
Title I Am the Resurrection and the Life End Title
17 Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off, 19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. 20 So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”
The true believer does not have to endure to the end to gain Eternal Life. It is a gift of God. You do not have to work for it. (Romans 4:1-5; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 11:6)

Title Abraham and David’s Faith Counted as Righteousness End Title
4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about—but not [c]before God! 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not counted according to grace, but according to what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes upon Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
Romans 6:23 Legacy Standard Bible
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-10 Legacy Standard Bible
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Romans 11:6 Legacy Standard Bible
6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
If the Shepard Jesus is doing His job, you will endure to the end because Jesus will keep you, not because of what you do.
Matthew 24:13 Legacy Standard Bible
13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
