I went to a local Mosque.
I visited a Spanish church a few weeks ago. Some of their members helped at the La Habra Corn Festival last year. Someone came to Jesus. The pastor shared the Gospel with this person who came by our booth. He is now a member of their church. Pray for the Mormons that I have been meeting with off and on the last few of months.
The Security of the Believer
What does Jesus not do with the ones the Father gives Him? John 6:37-40: “37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 Now this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” Jesus came to do the will of the Father. What is the will of the Father?
Are you one of Jesus’ sheep? In John 10:27-29, Jesus says, “27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish—ever; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (LSB) What does Jesus give His sheep?
Since you know His voice, then you hear the words of Jesus and believe in the One who sent Him. What does Jesus say you have in John 5:24? “24 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” (LSB)
There is the witness of God and the witness of man. Who has the witness of God? 1 John 5:9-13: “9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for the witness of God is this, that He has borne witness about His Son. 10 The one who believes in the Son of God has this witness in himself. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has borne witness about His Son. 11 And the witness is this, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have that life.” (LSB) God gave what to the person who has the of witness of God?
I am one of Jesus’ sheep. I will endure to the end (Matt 24:13) because Jesus being the perfect Shepard came to do the will of the Father. Enduring to the end does not depend on me. It depends on Jesus doing the will of the Father.
