Summer Activities
We had devotional time with all three group of Chinese kids. All three groups took with them some tracts in English and Chinese. The last group of kids (three boys) received a copy of the Jesus film in Chinese.
We had one person receive Jesus as their personal savior at the Corn Festival. Please pray for the follow up.

Up Coming Activities
The city of La Habra is having their second annual Tamale Festival on Sunday November 29th. We will have a space to display the gospel tracts to be handed out when people pass by the tables.
Topic of the Month
In this newsletter, I would like to take a look at the Holy Spirit. We can look at His personhood, His distinctness from the Father and the Son, and His Deity.
The Holy Spirit was called the “Helper”, John 14:16, and the Greek word for “Helper” is paraklêtos. This Greek word is almost always used in reference to a person. Also the Holy Spirit is a person because He makes decisions (Acts 15:28).
The Holy Spirit is distinct from the Father because the Father sent the Holy Spirit (John 14:15; 15:26). Also the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God (Rom. 8:26-27).
The Holy Spirit is distinct from Jesus because the Holy Spirit is “another Comforter” (John14:16). Also Jesus sent the Holy Spirit (John 15:26; 16:7).
One of the examples of the Holy Spirit being called God is when God in the Old Testament spoke and the New Testament identified God as the Holy Spirit.
Ex. 16:7 with Heb. 3:7-9
Ps. 78:17 with Acts 7:51.
Isa. 6:8-10 with Acts 28:25.
Jer. 31:33-34 with Heb. 10:15-16. Ps. 95:7 with Heb. 3:7-11
